| Dating from 1905 the current lighthouse,
one of the most powerful in France, replaced one of the earliest electric
lighthouses which fell into the sea as a result of erosion. A similar fate may await this one... it is was constructed nearly a mile from the site of the old lighthouse, but is now only 250 metres from the sea! Height: 60 m with 300 steps, Range: 80 km |
